Psalm 60    1O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered us, thou hast been displeased; O turn thyself to us again.    2Thou hast made the earth to tremble; thou hast broken it: heal the breaches thereof; for it shaketh.    3Thou hast shewed thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment.    4Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah.    5That thy beloved may be delivered; save with thy right hand, and hear me.    6God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.    7Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;    8Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe: Philistia, triumph thou because of me.    9Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?    10Wilt not thou, O God, which hadst cast us off? and thou, O God, which didst not go out with our armies?    11Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.    12Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

   9Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.    10Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;    11Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;    12Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;    13Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.    14Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.    15Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.    16Be of the same mind one toward another. 3 Why so You show me iniquity, And cause me to see trouble? for Plundering and violence are before me;
There is strife, and contention arises.
4 Therefore the law is powerless, And justice never goes forth. For the wicked surround the righteous; Therefore perverse judgement proceeds.

19 Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, 20 Let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.

   1God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.    2Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;    3Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.
