Amos 7:4-6  For July 31. 2009
4 Thus the Lord GOD showed me: Behold, the Lord GOD called for conflict by fire, and it consumed the great deep and devoured territory. 5 Then I said:
"O Lord God, cease, I Pray!
Oh, that the Jacob many stand,
   For he is small!"
so the LORD relented concerning this. This also shall not be," said the Lord GOD.

          Philippians 2:1-4                      For July 30, 2009
Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the spirit, if any affection and mercy, 2 fulfills my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. 3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. 4 Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interest of others.

12 By Silvanus, Our faithful brother as I consider him, I have written to you briefly, exhorting and testify that this is the true grace of God in which you stand. 13 She who is in Babylon, elect together with you, greets you; and so does Mark my son. 14 Greet one another with a kiss of love.
Peace to you all who are in Christ Jesus.
   Amen.

24Then David comforted Bathsheba his wife and and went in to her and lay with her. So she bore a son, and he bored a son, and he called his name Solomon. Now the LORD loved him, 25and he sent word by the hand of Nathan the prophet: So he called his name Jedidiah, because of the LORD.

           Psalm 114    For July 27, 2009
When Israel went out of Egypt, The House of Jacob from a people of strange language, 2 Judah became His sanctuary, And Israel His dominion.
3 The sea saw it and fled; Jordan turned back.
4  The mountains skipped like rams, The little hills like  lambs.
5  What ails you, O sea, that you fled? O Jordan, that you turned back?
6  O mountains, that you skipped like rams?
O little hills, like lambs?
7 Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the LORD,
At the presence of the God of Jacob,
8  Who turned the rock into a pool of water.
The flint into fountain of waters.

              Matthew 27: 11-14              For July 25, 2009
11 Now Jesus stood before the governor. And the governor asked Him, saying, "Are You the King of the Jews?"
Jesus said to him, "It is as you say." 12 And while He was being accused by the chief priests and elders, He answered nothing.
13 Then Pilate said to Him, "Do You not hear how many things they testify against You?" 14 But He answered him not one word, so  that the governor marveled greatly.

  Ecclesiastes 4:9-12  For July, 2009
9  Two are better than one Because they have a good reward for their labor.
10 For if they fall, one will lift up his companion
But woe to him who is alone  also when he falls, For he has no one to help him up.
11 Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one be warm alone?
12 Through one many be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And as a threefold cord is not broken.

  2 Thessalonians 3:16-18   For July 23, 2009

16 Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always on every way. The Lord be with you all.
17 The salutation of Paul with my own hand, which is a sign in every epistle; so i write.
18  The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

O LORD, do not rebuke me in Your anger, nor chasten me in Your hot displeasure.
2 Have mercy on me, O LORD, for I am weak; O LORD, heal me, for my bones are troubled.
3  My soul also is greatly troubled; but You, O LORD-how long?
4 Return, O LORD, deliver me! Oh, save me for Your mercies sake!
5 For in death there in no remembrance  of You; in the grave who will give You thanks?
6 I am weary with my groaning, all night I make my bed swim; I drench my couch with my tears.
7  My eye wastes away because of grief; it grows old, because of all my enemies.
8  Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity; for the LORD has heard the voice of my weeping.
9  The LORD has heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.
10  Let all my enemies be ashamed and greatly troubled; let them turn back and be ashamed suddenly.

GOD stands in the congregation of the mighty; He judges among the gods.
2 How long will you judge unjustly, and show partiality to the wicked?   Selah
3 Defend the poor ans fatherless; do justice to the afflicted and needy.
4 Deliver the poor and needy; free them from the hand of the wicked.
5 They do not know, nor do they understand; they walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are stable.
6 I said, "You are gods, and all of you are children of the Most High.
7 But you shall die like men, and fall like one of the prince."
8 Arise, O God, judge the earth; for You shall inherit all nations.
