Matthew 6: 25- 34           For July 1, 2009

25 "Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; not about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

28 "So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

31 "Therefore do not worry saying, 'what shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink? or 'what shall we wear?' 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

                       PSALM 121       For June 30, 2009

I will lift up my eyes to the hills-- From whence comes my help?

2   My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.

3    He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber.

4    Behold, He who keeps Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep.

5    The LORD is your keeper; The LORD is your shade at your right hand.

6     The sun shall not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night.

7     The LORD shall preserve you from all evil; He Shall preserve your soul.

8      The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in

From this time forth, and even forevermore.

                               Psalm 6               for June 29, 2009

O Lord, do not rebuke me in Your anger, Nor chasten me in Your hot displeasure.

2 Have mercy on me, O LORD, for I am weak, O LORD, heal me, for my bones are troubled.

3  My soul also is greatly troubled; But You, O LORD-how long?

4 Return, O LORD, deliver me! Oh save me for Your mercies' sake!

5 For in death there is no remembrance of You; In the grave who will give You thanks?

6  I am weary with my groaning; all night I make my bed swim; I drench my couch with my tears.

7   My eyes wastes away because of grief; It grows old because of all my enemies.

8    Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity; For the LORD has heard the voice of my weeping.

9    The LORD has heard my supplication; The lord will receive my prayer.

10   Let all my enemies be ashamed and greatly troubled;  Let them turn back and be ashamed suddenly.

                      Psalm 4                                      for June 28, 2009

Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieve me in my distress; Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.

2 How long, O you sons of men, will you turn my glory to shame? How long will you love worthlessness And seek falsehood?

3 But know that the LORD has set apart for Himself him who is godly; The LORD will hear when I call to Him.

4 Be angry, and do not sin. Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still.

5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, And put your trust in the LORD.

6 There are many who say, Who will show us any good?" LORD, lift up the light of Your countenance upon us.

7 You have put gladness in my heart, More than in the season that their grain and wine increased.

8 I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.

       Psalm 27: 1-14               For June 27, 2009

The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? 2 When the wicked came against me To eat up my flesh, My enemies and foes, They stumbled and fell. 3 Through an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Through war my raise against me, In this I will be confident. 4 One thing I have deisred of the LORD, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the LORD, And to inquire in His temple. 5 For in the of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock. 6 And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD.

7 Hear, O LORD, when I Cry with my voice! Have mercy also upon me, and answer me. When You said, "seek My face," My heart said to You, "Your face, LORD, I will seek." 9 Do not hide Your face from me; Do not turn Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; Do not leave me nor forsake me, O God of my salvation. 10 When my father and my mother forsake me, Then the LORD will take care of me. 11 Teach me Your way, O LORD, And lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies. 12 Do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries; For false witnesses have risen against me, And such as breathe out violence. 13 I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living. 14 Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strenght your heart; wait, I say, on the LORD!

                    Matthew 8: 23-27,            June 25, 2009

23Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him. 24 And suddenly a great temples arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep. 25Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, "Lord save us! we are perishing!"

26 But He said to them, "Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?" Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. 27So the men marveled, saying, "Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?"
